Story

Under secret orders from Fujiwara no Michinaga and Abe no Seimei, Minamoto no Yorimitsu and his men were ordered to defeat Shuten-Doji, a demon that resides on Mt. Oe. Minamoto no Yorimitsu and his men are blocked in their path by an enemy whose appearance is unlike anything they have ever seen. The enemy is a "historical revisionist" who plans to change the history of the world. The Touken Danshi fighting to preserve history, including Mikazuki Munechika, saved the day from the Retrograde Time Army. However, Kunihiro Yamambagiri, who had entered the demon's stronghold first, received Shuten Doji's final curse and disappeared.

2012 Tokyo
Kotone is on her way home from school when she suddenly hears a strange and unfamiliar sound. As if drawn in by the sound, she heads toward it and sees a sword fighting an ominous shadow. Curious and confused, Kotone continues to watch, when she hears a mysterious voice that compels her to speak its name: Mikazuki Munechika.

Meanwhile, in cities across Japan, there have been numerous reported cases of citizens suddenly losing consciousness. The government of time sends Yamanbagiri Chougi in order to investigate and stop whatever is behind these mysterious incidents. He announces the start of a "special mission" to secure Yamambagiri Kunihiro, who is suspected to be involved in the situation.

What is the fate of the missing Yamambagiri Kunihiro and Mikazuki Munechika? What is the true purpose of the Retrograde Time Army?
