Summary
Keiichi Kaburaki (Kazuya Kamenashi), who was arrested as a suspect in the murder of a married couple and sentenced to death, escapes from prison by taking advantage of a prison guard during transportation. Kaburaki's escape is widely reported on TV and other mass media, and the police do their best to track him down, but are unable to catch him. Meanwhile, Yuko Io (Hitomi Kuroki), the mother of the husband of the victim couple in the case, suffers from juvenile dementia and is recuperating in a nursing home, still traumatized by the incident. Eventually, Kaburaki changes his name and appearance everywhere he goes while on the run and hiding out, and he begins to encounter people like Kazuya Nonomura (Hayato Ichihara), a construction worker, Sayaka Ando (Shiori Kanjiya), a writer and director. He meets Junji Watanabe (Takaya Kamikawa), a lawyer who has been falsely accused of molestation, and saves them from their predicament. Why does Kaburaki save people? When Nonomura and his friends realize that Kaburaki is a wanted man on death row, they begin to wonder, "Is he really a murderer?"
